SCADA

Supervisory Control And Data Acquisition, human machine interface to automated process (see wikipedia for more detailed information).

Process automation without SCADA is unusual, A human machine interface is required to control the automated functions. Process data are used to monitor quality and performance.

We implement projects with following brands:

GE's iFix is wide spreaded. It is based on Visual Basic for applications and can be connected to almost every PLC. The real power is unfolded in a network with multiple SCADA nodes. We used iFix for example at a nuclear power plant for active waste manipulation.

Siemens's WinCC is base on C-scripts (new versions support Visual Basic). It has also rich functionality. When used together with S7-400 in the so called PCS7 you gain most benefits.
